From Wölffer and the Montauket to Springs Tavern and private parties, the Lynn Blue Band is celebrating 10 years of rockin’ the Hamptons.
Lynn Blue Band coalesced when Dave Portocarrero, Jim Nanos, and Alex Sarkis got together in Spring 2015. Playing classic rock, alt rock, reggae, blues, and originals from the 1960s to the early 2000s, the band has played the Stephen Talkhouse, Wölffer’s Winestand, Montauket, Gurney’s, Montauk Yacht Club, Clam and Chowder House, and countless local festivals like HarborFest, SouthamptonFest, Montauk Music Fest, Sag Harbor Great American Music Festival, and many more local events.
The core members — Lynn Blue, lead vocalist, and Dave Portocarrero — continue to play with Bob Golden on drums and Jim Nanos on bass or Dylan Hewett on bass, their friends Mike Dimeo or Fred Gilde join in on Keys and a variety of guitar players like Bosco Michne, Anthony Liberatore, and Josh LeClerc have special guested over the years.
For Lynn, who wanted to sing from the time she was a toddler, this band is a dream come true – she waited decades for the reality which “has been a steep learning curve – making mistakes on a mic with a spotlight on you is not for the faint of heart,” she laughs, “but it’s worth it. We love spreading joy and bringing our community together.”
You can catch the band live all summer long. Check here to stay updated. Upcoming shows include the Springs Tavern on June 26 and the Springs Food Pantry Benefit on June 28.
