Mountainfilm on Tour Southampton brought a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed, and inspiring documentary films curated by the Mountainfilm festival in Telluride, Colorado.
Southampton Arts Center screened eight selected Mountainfilm on Tour Southampton short documentaries on the West Lawn on Friday, August 27. The films explore themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission of using the power of film, art, and ideas to inspired audiences to create a better world.
Mountainfilm on Tour Southampton was hosted by Elyn and Jeff Kronemeyer, in partnership with Brown Harris Stevens, and sponsored, in part, by Dr. Paula Angelone and Gerald Rosengarten. Elyn Kronemeyer, who also serves on SAC’s board of directors, has been organizing the tour for seven years, working with SAC to bring thought-provoking documentary films to the East End community.
This year’s film lineup included “199 Little Heroes: Jésùs from Mexico,” “A Concerto is a Conversation,” “God’s Plant,” “Facets,” “Whales Without Walls,” “Ten Thousand Bolts,” “Mighty Waters,” and “Golden Age Karate.”
