Red Door Community – Celebrating the Next 25

Red Door Community, a New York City based nonprofit cancer support organization, raised more than $1 million dollars at its 26th Annual Benefit Gala, “Celebrating the Next 25.” The event took place at New York’s Cipriani 42nd Street and included celebrity appearances, musical performances, and a live and silent auction, while honoring leading individuals who are dedicated to improving the quality of life for cancer patients and their families. 

Shannen Doherty, Director, Actress, Director, Producer, Breast Cancer Activist and star of Lifetime’s “List of a Lifetime” presented Paul Buccieri, President & Chairman, A+E Networks Group, with the Red Door Award for Cancer Awareness & Advocacy. Stephen McLean, Senior Partner & Chairman, Healthcare Group, Arsenal Capital Partners, and Dr. Angelos Stergiou, President & CEO, SELLAS Life Sciences Group, received awards as well. 

The gala was hosted virtually by WABC-TV anchor Bill Ritter, and included musical performances by New York-based acapella group The Workshop and singers Megan Kane and Tyler Hardwick (“Once on this Island,” “Motown the Musical,” “Dreamgirls”). Maria Eberline (“Wicked,” “Fame”), Michelle Federer (“Wicked”) and Julia Haubner Smith (“Les Miserables”) as well as other Broadway stars, who read member stories about how Red Door Community has provided meaningful support for families impacted by cancer.
