Sag Harbor in Focus returns to The Church for its seventh annual celebration of our village of Sag Harbor and of life on the East End, as experienced by students from Pierson High School. An opening reception and awards ceremony will be held on May 17 from 5 to 7 PM.
The exhibition will include photographs in eight separate categories, including “Portraiture,” “Landscape,” “Architecture, Still Life, Home and Family,” “A Sense of Place,” “People and Activities,” and “Inside Out.” The students’ work was assembled by artist and Pierson High School art teacher Liz Cataletto, and includes work from her and co-teacher Shelby Fullam’s Photography and Advanced Photography classes.
Photographer Francine Fleischer will be the juror for the contest and will be choosing one winning photograph from each category, for which $100 will be rewarded. A $1,000 grand prize will go to the photographer whose work is chosen as the most outstanding body of work submitted for consideration. The opening will conclude with an awards ceremony for the winners of this year’s exhibition and include a light reception.
