Ari’s Closet in Southampton Village is reopening its doors as Le Closet on Saturday, November 26, in celebration of its new partnership and Small Business Saturday. Arielle Haller-Silverstone, award-winning writer and producer, opened the curated consignment shop as Ari’s Closet in March 2020 and has since joined forces with Nicole Schumann, a successful jewelry designer. Together, the duo is combining their love of finding a good deal and upcycling designer fashion, and bringing a curated shopping experience to shoppers.
To honor the new partnership, Le Closet will offer 10 percent off all in-person sales on November 26 for Small Business Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM. Shoppers may also enjoy light refreshments and champagne while they browse the luxury designers they carry including; Chanel, Hermes, Gucci, Prada, Zimmermann, Isabel Marant, Veronica Beard, ALC and many more including a selection of vintage clothes and accessories. Le Closet also specializes in hard to find sneakers for men, women and kids, carrying Nike, Jordans and more.
Small Business Saturday will also be celebrated at their New York City location, 1034A Lexington Avenue, between East 73rd and 74th Streets.
“I love a good deal. From shopping vintage and consignment collections in Boca with my Bubbe, to scouring the sales racks in every locale, my passion for finding luxe at the best price has never wavered,” said Haller-Silverstone. “After losing my job during COVID, I decided to try my hand at the resale market from my studio apartment in New York City. I landed in the Hamptons in 2020, and boom! Ari’s Closet Southampton was born. I love living out East, and I could not be more thrilled to partner with Nicole and take our business to the Upper East Side and beyond.”
“As a longtime New Yorker, who raised my girls on the Upper East Side and in Southampton over the summers, I was introduced to vintage consignment and thrifting by my grandmother,” said Schumann. “She generously passed down all of her treasures to me, her fabulous clothes and accessories by YSL, Pucci, Chanel, etc. I’ve always been an avid vintage and consignment shopper in any city I travel to — it is always my first destination before any of the major sights! I’m known to usually wear ‘someone else’s clothes’ from head to toe, a passion of reusing and recycling that I pass down to my kids as well. To partner with Ari and co-own a consignment store has always been a lifelong dream of mine, especially when I get to style customers out of my own closet!”
