Southampton Playhouse and Ma’s House present the Sundance Indigenous Film Tour on Wednesday, March 4, at 5 PM.
The 2025 Sundance Institute Indigenous Film Tour is a 98-minute theatrical program featuring seven short films from Indigenous filmmakers whose work was featured at the festival. The screening is co-presented by Eugene Hernandez and Ma’s House, a communal art space on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation, with introductions by Sundance Film Festival director Eugene Hernandez and Ma’s House founder Jeremy Dennis.
A vivid snapshot of inventive storytelling from Indigenous filmmakers across the United States, the program features animation, documentaries, coming-of-age dramas, and endearing comedies, resulting in an eclectic program that brings contemporary Native American filmmaking into sharp focus. The curated selection reflects a variety of Native stories and showcases inventive, original storytelling from indigenous artists previously supported by the Festival.
