Takuma Watanabe Steps ‘Behind The Stick’ At Nourish By The Roundtree In Bridgehampton

On Sunday, June 28, and July 12, Takuma Watanabe, one of the most celebrated bartenders in the world, is stepping “behind the stick” at Nourish by The Roundtree in Bridgehampton, where he will be behind the bar for four guest shift pop-ups. Each day features two seatings, a three-course prix-fixe brunch, and a five-course prix-fixe dinner.

Watanabe, the Tokyo-born beverage director behind some of the world’s most celebrated cocktail destinations, including Martiny’s, currently ranked #23 on the World’s 50 Best Bars in North America, has curated Nourish’s cocktail program this summer. Drawing on summer fruits, seasonal botanicals, and the sun-drenched bounty of the East End, the result is a six-cocktail menu. Drink selections include the Nourish Martini with Grey Goose, Chartreuse Jaune, Kota, dry vermouth, and lime; and the Garden Reverie, made with Montelobos Espadin mezcal, pineapple-cucumber-lemongrass water, yuzu, and basil.

Nourish, which recently opened its doors, is a collaboration between The Roundtree, Amagansett and Odo Hospitality, the group behind New York’s two-Michelin-starred Odo. Chef Dewa Wijaya leads the kitchen with a menu rooted in East End seasonal produce and his Balinese heritage.
