The 17th annual North Fork Foodie Tour, sponsored by North Fork Reform Synagogue, will be held on Sunday, September 10, from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Over the last 17 years the annual Foodie Tour has become a fall event attracting foodies from the North Fork and beyond.
Chart your own course for a day exploring the bounty of the North Fork with behind-the-scenes tours of 19 locations and meet the extraordinary people who have dedicated their lives to the art of great local food and libation. Learn about artisanal foods, wines, beers, spirits, and new methods of sustainable agriculture.
New this year will be Lavender by the Bay in Calverton, Red Barn Farm in Baiting Hollow, 1760 Homestead Farm in Riverhead, North Fork Chocolate Company in Riverhead, and Matchbook Distilling Company in Greenport.
Enjoy talks and demonstrations at Peconic Land Trust’s Ag Center at Charnews Farm in Southold including Deb Kimmelman of Suffolk Alliance for Pollinators, Harrison Tobi of Cornell Cooperative Extension, Erin Latham Stanton of Latham Farms in Orient, April Alexander of Blooming Curiosity, and Allison Katz of Ali Katz Kitchen.
