The East Hampton Library presented “The LTV Archives: A Treasure Trove of Local History,” a lecture program on Wednesday, December 1, as part of the Tom Twomey Series.
East Hampton Library Board of Managers member and author Brooke Kroeger interviewed Genie Henderson, LTV archivist and author of “A Day Like Any Other: The Great Hamptons Hurricane of 1938.”
Anne P. Thomas was the program’s host, and Judith Hope made the introduction by video link. Besides showing select video clips from the LTV Archives, the lecture was an opportunity to announce the new partnership of LTV and the Library’s Long Island Collection, which is aimed at preserving the best of endangered, unrepeatable resources and making them accessible to everyone.
The public is welcome to share their own historic footage for inclusion in the collection.
