On March 1, the New York Junior League celebrated its 73rd Annual Winter Ball, An Evening in Wonderland, at Cipriani South Street. The sold-out event raised approximately $850,000 and honored recipients of the NYJL’s Outstanding Sustainer and Outstanding Volunteer Awards, the organization’s highest honors. Since 1952, the Winter Ball has raised essential funds for the NYJL’s training and community programs while bringing together volunteers, family, friends, and supporters.

Craig Melvin, the award-winning co-anchor of NBC’s TODAY, served as Master of Ceremonies. Award honorees recognized by NYJL President Jeri Powell included Outstanding Sustainers Elizabeth King and Gena Lovett and Outstanding Volunteers Sarah Marie Cloonan, Nicole M. Hudak, Michelle LeNoach, Kathleen Z. Li, and Noreen Okarter. Attendees included Jesse Bongiovi, the co-founder of Hampton Water.
