The South Fork Sea Farmers’ goal is to promote and encourage more public oyster gardening which keeps the water clean, provides habitat for marine life, and improves the ecosystem. Today the South Fork Sea Farmers, in partnership with the East Hampton Town Hatchery, has five garden sites — Three Mile Harbor, Hog Creek, Napeague, Lake Montauk, and Acabonac Harbor — with over 100 families growing oysters.

The Montauk Film festival focuses its selections that inspire awareness of the local environment through themes of humanity and sustainability.
