Thirty-Eight New Townhouses Announced By Saunders & Associates

A new community of luxury townhomes is taking shape in the heart of Water Mill.

Sited on 6.4 acres and ready for occupancy in 2022, Watermill Crossing’s 38 new homes are being built by JS Squared. The community is adjacent to The Mill — the home of Soul Cycle, Provisions Natural Food Market, Bistro Éte, and more — and across the street from Hampton Coffee Company. The homes are also across the street from a community park, ball fields and tennis courts maintained by the Water Mill Community Club.

According to a statement from Saunders & Associates, “Watermill Crossing offers the ultimate in luxury and convenience, with classic Hamptons style in an easy-to-maintain manageable environment. Residents will enjoy village living with full services and amenities, in homes inspired by quintessential Hamptons architecture.”

The homes range in size from 2,500 to 2,800+/- sq. ft. with four bedrooms, a basement and attached garage. Options will be available for elevators and downstairs primary suites in some units. According to Saunders, “light-filled open main floor living spaces flow easily among a living room with fireplace, dining area, and eat-in kitchen with top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops, and island seating.” A den, full bath, and attached garage are also on this level. Some homes will have a first floor primary suite with two additional bedrooms and a third bedroom convertible to a den/office upstairs. Others are designed with all bedrooms, or bedrooms and den/office upstairs and the first floor dedicated to the living areas.

“Materials and amenities of the highest quality are a hallmark of the homes in Watermill Crossing,” read the statement. There will be red cedar shingle, white board and batten siding and cedar shingled roofs. The interiors include shiplap details throughout, European white oak plain sawn wide plank floors, a natural gas fireplace, heated flooring in primary baths, heated garage and central vacuum. Kitchens feature quartz countertop and backsplash, white high-gloss cabinetry, Sub-Zero and Bosch appliances, Wolf 6 burner 36″ gas range, and under counter wine refrigerator. Primary baths include Dolomite Bianco 12″ x 24″ hones finish walls, and Dolomite Bianco picket pattern flooring, Rohl polished chrome fixtures, Victoria + Albert Barcelona tub and Caesarstone countertops and backsplash.

The community will include a centrally located clubhouse and a fitness room and locker room with showers, a great room with fireplace opening to a covered porch, a lounge with card tables, a food prep area and wet bar, and a powder room. Outdoors there will be a 17 x 45 ft. pool and 8 x 8 ft. spa.
