Luxury handbag brand Uptown Common celebrated its Hamptons debut during a two-day pop-up held June 6 to 7 at Morphew World Southampton. The special event brought together fashion enthusiasts, philanthropists, tastemakers, and luxury shoppers.
The weekend commenced with a VIP reception hosted by renowned philanthropist and fashion icon Jean Shafiroff on Saturday, June 6. Guests enjoyed an intimate afternoon of fashion, networking, and philanthropy while discovering Uptown Common’s handcrafted collection of handbags and accessories.
Founded by husband-and-wife design team Grant and Jennifer Anderson, Uptown Common is known for creating heirloom-quality handbags that blend timeless elegance with modern sophistication. Throughout the weekend, attendees had the opportunity to meet the founders and learn about the meticulous craftsmanship behind each piece.
A highlight of the event was the brand’s signature personalized embossing experience, allowing customers to customize their handbag purchases with unique monograms and messages, transforming each piece into a one-of-a-kind keepsake.
The pop-up also had a portion of the proceeds benefiting Global Strays, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals in underserved communities worldwide through rescue, rehabilitation, education, and advocacy programs.
“We were thrilled by the incredible response from the Hamptons community,” said Grant and Jennifer Anderson, Founders of Uptown Common. “This event represented everything our brand stands for — beautiful craftsmanship, meaningful personalization, and giving back. We are grateful to Jean Shafiroff, Morphew World, and everyone who joined us for making our Hamptons debut such a memorable success.”
Jean Shafiroff, a longtime supporter of charitable initiatives and animal welfare causes, welcomed guests to the event and helped raise awareness of Global Strays’ mission through the weekend activation.
“It was a pleasure to host Uptown Common’s Hamptons debut at Morphew World. The event beautifully combined luxury, craftsmanship, and philanthropy, while also supporting the important mission of Global Strays. I was delighted to see so many members of our community come together to celebrate fashion with purpose and compassion,” said Shafiroff.
“We were honored to welcome Uptown Common to Morphew World for their Hamptons debut. Grant and Jennifer Anderson have created a remarkable luxury brand that reflects quality, artistry, and timeless style. The weekend was a wonderful success, and we look forward to future collaborations that bring unique luxury experiences to our clientele,” said Brigitte Morphew, Founder and Owner of Morpheme World.
