Veterinarians International Dog Walk And Shop

Veterinarians International is hosting a dog walk and shop to raise awareness about building peaceful coexistence with animals globally on June 26 in Southampton.

The foundation will be showing examples of animals in need of veterinary care in different countries, while exhibiting work of providing infrastructure, training, and education to countries with high biodiversity. Big projects include building Sri Lanka’s first elephant hospital and wildlife rehabilitation center, providing low cost vet care to Chileans at their clinic in Valdivia, the gateway to Patagonia, and eliminating rabies in Kenya.

The plan is to show how the health of humans and animals are connected and interdependent, and that by having healthy animals we can have healthy people and a healthy planet.

Those walking will meet on the corner of Jobs Lane and Main Street at 10:30 AM. Sips and shopping will follow with Dr. Scarlett Magda at J. McLaughlin from noon to 5 PM and 15 percent of the proceeds will benefit the charity.
