karyn mannix contemporary has organized the “Vito Sisti’s Women’s Show Revisited” at Ashawagh Hall in Springs. There will be an opening wine reception on Saturday, May 8, from 5 to 7 PM.
Sisti, who passed away in 2013, organized his first Women’s Show in 2003, which included a small group of women artists. The show grew over the years to include a larger group of local female artists exhibiting works in photography, collage, painting, and sculpture.
The 16 participating artists in the upcoming show include Abby Abrams, Mary Antczak, Beth Barry, Nina Bataller, Rosalind Brenner, Susan Carlo, Elaine Grove, Eileen Hickey, Teri Kennedy, Setha Low, Karyn Mannix, Joanlee Montefusco, Kate Nicholai, Karin Padden, Sally Richardson, and Lisa Weston.
The show will be open to the public on Friday, May 7, from noon to 5 PM, Saturday, May 8, from 9 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday, May 9, from 11 AM to 4 PM. Masks are required.
