Bonac Print Shop is hosting its annual reception party for local artists, showcasing at Ashawagh Hall in Springs on December 28 from 4 to 9 PM. A native of Springs, Ryan Sherman of Three Mile Media has curated over 35 East End artists who will display their original works, along with a print shop with pieces from artists available for sale. Artists like William Quigley, Candace Ceslow, Scott Bluedorn, Lucy Villeneuve, Dalton Portella, and Nathaniel Butler will showcase their work.
Butler’s new photography book, “Courtside: 40 Years of NBA Photography,” has already swept up the hearts of basketball fans across the country. Copies will be available for purchase.
The reception party will serve local refreshments from Springs Brewery and Encore by Talkhouse, along with smooth sounds by Kevin The Kind. Ten percent of the show’s original art sale proceeds will go directly to the Springs School PTA.
“I started this show to showcase all my favorite artists out East that live and survive here. Being a kid from Springs, I want to show the community that the younger art scene is alive and well. A collaboration between the art culture that existed here in the ’50s and ’60s blending in with generations anew,” said Sherman, Owner of Three Mile Media & Bonac Print Shop. The entire art showcase will be available for viewing on December 28 and December 29 from 9 AM to 9 PM at Ashawagh Hall.
