The Retreat will host its annual All Against Abuse Gala Benefit at The Church in Sag Harbor on Saturday, June 3, from 6 to 8 PM. The event is held to support survivors of relationship abuse and works to end the cycle of violence — supporting The Retreat’s free prevention education programs, counseling and crisis services, advocacy, and 24-hour hotline.
The All Against Abuse gala will present inspirational Keynote Speaker Tijuana Fulford, Founder and Executive Director of The Butterfly Effect Project, a mentoring program for young girls from predominantly underserved communities on the East End of Long Island. The Retreat will honor Hana Sromova and Claude Okin, owners of Sportime Amagansett. Auctioneer Lucas Hunt will host the paddle raise portion towards the end of the event.
“This is an inspiring and celebratory evening. Funds raised at the Gala will directly support individuals and families affected by violence and abuse,” said Loretta Davis, Executive Director of The Retreat. “This gala not only gives us a chance to reconnect face to face with the community and beyond, but it supports the critical services and resources that The Retreat provides survivors, all at no cost.”
The event’s host committee includes Alan Alda, Arlene Alda, Joy Behar, Bobbi Brown, Mark Consuelos, Ina Garten, Robin Hommel, Katie Lee, Gretta Monahan, Kelly Ripa, Mercedes Ruehl, Nikki Silver, and Leslie Morgan Steiner.
The evening will feature live music, along with signature cocktails and Mediterranean-inspired offerings curated by Art of Eating. An online auction will go live on June 1 and close on June 4.
