Amy Schumer took the stage at The Clubhouse in East Hampton on Saturday, July 23. Guests came out to support this comedy-filled charity event with proceeds in the amount of $50K going to The Retreat, a women’s shelter whose mission is to combat domestic violence.
The Clubhouse set the scene throughout the outdoor property where the trees sheltered the stage and guests sat back to enjoy a night of comedy. Warming up the crowd was opener comedian Mia Jackson who kicked off a night.
Then Emmy Award winning, stand-up comedian and actress Amy Schumer won the crowd discussing everything from the Hamptons, her childhood, to married life, and more. Guests included Ashley Biden, Melissa Wood, Noah Tepperberg, Marci Klein, Bethenny Frankel, Nancy Shevell-McCartney, Jane Slagsvol-Buffet, Sascha Seinfeld, Cristina Cuomo, Arden Wohl, Rosanna Scotto, and many more.
This was the first show prior to Schumer’s national comedy tour called “AMY SCHUMER: WHORE TOUR” which kicks off on July 30 in Quebec Canada. The After Party moved into The Clubhouse’s indoor venue, where Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser of indie rock band MGMT took the stage to spin tunes while the crowd danced until the late hours of the night.
The events were curated by The Clubhouse’s event team Matt Rubenstein and Matt Classens, and brought to the Hamptons by Brooklyn-based producer Brian Kelly of Murmrr Presents.
