Blues-rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Duane Betts brings his unmistakable Southern sound to the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center on Friday, May 1, joined by his band Palmetto Motel for an electrifying night of soulful grooves, fiery guitar work, and timeless storytelling.
Carrying forward a rich musical lineage as the son of Dickey Betts — and named for the legendary Duane Allman — Betts honors the roots of Southern rock while carving out a sound that is entirely his own. Raised on the road and immersed in the music of The Allman Brothers Band, he has emerged as a powerful voice in modern American rock, blending heritage and originality in equal measure.
Before launching Palmetto Motel, Betts co-founded The Allman Betts Band alongside Devon Allman, earning critical acclaim and a devoted following through extensive touring and charting releases. He has also shared stages with genre-defining acts such as Gov’t Mule and Tedeschi Trucks Band, further cementing his reputation as a musician’s musician with deep roots and wide-ranging appeal.
