Citarella and the East End Fund for Children celebrate six years of partnership and have announced this summer’s fundraising campaign, taking place from June 12 through Labor Day weekend. Shoppers at each of the gourmet market’s four Hamptons locations will be encouraged to donate to the fund at the time of their purchase, including at their newly opened Westhampton location.
On Wednesday, June 10, at 4 PM, East End Fund for Children Representatives and Citarella owner Joe Gurrera will be joined by Southampton Town Supervisor Maria Moore and New York State Assemblyman Tommy John Schiavoni at Citarella’s Westhampton location as they present the kickoff of the 2026 fundraising campaign.
During this annual event, children are invited to add flair to Citarella’s garden with oyster and shell decorating as they welcome new EEFC partner East End Hospice Camp Good Grief and celebrate the opening of Citarella’s newest location in Westhampton. The commemorative garden can be visited year-round by the public.
“At Citarella, we believe in showing up for our neighbors. Which is why we’re proud to host our Summer Round-Up campaign for the sixth year in a row — this time, at our new Westhampton Beach market. The EEFC does great work in our community for local kids and their families. And we look forward to supporting them with expanded reach this season,” said Gurrera.
The East End Fund for Children provides essential food, mental health support, counseling, and educational and recreational programming to over 3,500 local children every week and supports organizations including Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center, Children’s Museum of the East End, East End Hospice Camp Good Grief, Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Center, i-tri, Project MOST, The Retreat, and the Southampton Youth Association.
“We’ve long admired Citarella’s effort to support local, child-focused organizations through the East End Fund for Children,” said Emily Madsen, the Director of Development at East End Hospice. “Joining the EEFC this year, as we celebrate the 30th anniversary session of Camp Good Grief, means that children from across the East End and beyond who have experienced the life-altering loss of a parent, sibling, or loved one will access therapeutic support, summer camp fun, and community at CGG. We’re honored to join the East End Fund for Children and grateful to Citarella and the shoppers who patronize their locations across the East End, including their newest location right here in Westhampton Beach.”
“We’re thrilled to be a part of this group of strong nonprofits supporting children and families on the East End of Long Island. This partnership with Citarella has been an enormous help financially while also bringing awareness to each of our organizations. We’re also happy to have East End Hospice’s Camp Good Grief join our group,” said Rebecca Morgan Taylor, Executive Director of Project MOST.
