This autumn, The Pridwin Hotel & Cottages, a storied waterfront retreat on Shelter Island, unveils an exclusive culinary collaboration with Grand Banks — Manhattan’s famed restaurant aboard a historic wooden sailboat docked at Pier 25 in Tribeca — created by Crew, the innovative hospitality group that develops and operates experience-focused restaurants and maritime ventures.
The partnership debuted on September 6 and will continue through peak oyster season. The beachfront resort’s dining destinations will showcase some of Grand Banks’ signature offerings — from locally-harvested oysters and caviar-topped hash browns to seafood towers and lobster rolls, as well as nautically inspired cocktails — set against Crescent Beach’s scenic bay views.

In addition to The Pridwin’s newly debuted seasonal fall menu, the culinary team helmed by Executive Chef Todd Ruiz will also offer guests signature plates developed by the nationally acclaimed chef, Kerry Heffernan, the Culinary Director of Crew.
Weekend afternoons throughout the season also bring The Pridwin’s lively Local Oyster Pop-Up, now featuring Grand Banks’ very own Sailor Baby oysters alongside other local varieties. This is the first time Sailor Baby oysters will be available beyond Crew locations, while live shucking demonstrations create an interactive, elevated experience.
“At The Pridwin, we celebrate the region and our Americana roots through seasonal dishes that honor local farms and artisans,” said Todd Ruiz, Executive Chef at The Pridwin Hotel & Cottages. “Our collaboration with Grand Banks allows us to bring an iconic New York dining institution to Shelter Island to celebrate the oyster season, while reaffirming our commitment to delighting guests with unique culinary experiences.”
Alex Pincus, CEO of Crew, said, “At Crew, we connect people to the waterfront through incredible food and authentic hospitality. Partnering with The Pridwin feels like a natural extension of what we do — celebrating oysters, seasonality, and a deep love for the coast. We’re thrilled to bring a taste of Grand Banks to such an iconic East End destination during one of the most magical times of year.”
The Pridwin Hotel & Cottages is open Thursdays through Sundays through October 20. For reservations or to book a stay, visit caperesorts.com/pridwin.
