HamptonsFilm will present outdoor movies in East Hampton Village. The films will take place on Wednesday nights in Herrick Park all summer long.
The series began last Wednesday with “Endless Summer II” and will continue Wednesday, June 9, with “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.” Screenings will continue with films like “The Parent Trap,” “Mean Girls,” “Grease,” and “Dirty Dancing.”
“We at HamptonsFilm take pride in continuing to provide our audiences with creative and engaging ways to enjoy quality entertainment year-round during these trying times, both this summer at Herrick Park in the Village of East Hampton, and last year at the drive-in screenings at Hayground in Bridgehampton,” said Anne Chaisson, the Executive Director of the Hamptons International Film Festival. “We are excited for another great summer of screening fantastic classic films.”
Screenings start at 8:30 PM and are free to the public with registration. For those who would like a front row seat, 8 x 10 foot squares for up to six people may be reserved for $50 and will support Hamptons Film’s year-round education and community programs.
Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs, blankets, and a picnic. Alcohol is prohibited. Restaurants in the Village will be offering discounted picnic packages and there will be popcorn on site.
