J. Mackey Gallery Presents Phyllis Baker Hammond’s ‘Beyond The Edge’ At Spring Close Farm

J. Mackey Gallery in East Hampton presents “Beyond the Edge,” an exhibition celebrating the extraordinary life and artistic legacy of internationally acclaimed sculptor Phyllis Baker Hammond (1930-2024), who was recently inducted into the Hamptons Fine Art Fair 2025 Hamptons Artists Hall of Fame.

The exhibition is currently on view at Spring Close Farm in East Hampton, featuring Hammond’s monumental, large-scale, and multi-part sculpture installation “Beyond the Edge” alongside a selection of works from her 75-year artistic career. The beautiful setting showcases Phyllis’s 2017 vibrant commissioned installation “Beyond the Edge,” which represents Hammond’s experimental spirit and her philosophy of “embracing the unexpected” and being “experimentally playful.”

Originally installed at Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza next to the United Nations in New York City, this monumental five-piece sculpture installation is now reimagined in the garden setting of Spring Close Farm in East Hampton. A reception will be held on Saturday, July 12, from 5 to 7 PM.
