Located on the beach in Southold, Little Fish presents coastal cuisine. The restaurant, located at Kenney’s Beach, is slated to officially open this April.
The renovated space that previously belonged to Elbow East, ties elements of the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and the coastal Northeast. Owner, Arden Gardell, from the family behind 668 The Gig Shack in Montauk, has combined his passion for life and seafood and his 20+ years in the restaurant industry to create the space.
“Little Fish is a place where you can meet your friends for a drink, to enjoy live music and get an excellent bite of food,” said Gardell. “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome guests into our beach oasis.”
North Fork chef and DJ, Chef Ryan Barth-Dwyer, joins the Little Fish team from Greenport’s Kontiki and Gallery Cafe. Barth-Dwyer’s love for cooking began at an early age in the kitchen with his mother and most of his culinary inspiration comes from Turkish cuisine. The chef plans to utilize the bounty of the North Fork.
Dishes on the menu will include fritto misto della casa, the green goddess crab, hot honey jerk ribs, and 668 favorite, tuna taquitos. There is also a to-go menu designed for visitors to enjoy at the beach.
Little Fish is located at 50 N Sea Drive in Southold, and will serve lunch from noon to 5 PM and dinner from 5 to 9 PM on Thursday to Sunday in the spring. Summer hours are to be determined.
