It was the feeling of spending an entire weekend surrounded by the people who know you best. For Liza and Jon, the wedding was never meant to be just one beautiful evening. It was designed as a weekend-long experience where nearly 200 of their closest family and friends could slow down, reconnect, and celebrate together.
A Weekend That Brought Everyone Together
Rather than planning a series of separate events, Liza and Jon thoughtfully created a celebration that unfolded naturally from one gathering to the next. Guests kicked off the weekend with a friendly tennis tournament before coming together for welcome drinks, an evening that ultimately ended around the fire pits with heaters, great conversation, and the relaxed atmosphere that makes Montauk so special.
The wedding day itself felt equally effortless.
Before guests gathered for the ceremony overlooking Lake Montauk, Liza and Jon carved out quiet moments that would become some of their most treasured memories.
Liza spent part of the morning writing her vows while overlooking the water before the couple shared a private first look and exchanged personal vows together.
Away from the excitement of the day, they were able to simply be present with one another before celebrating with everyone they love.
Later, surrounded by family and their closest friends, they gathered for their Ketubah signing—a meaningful pause before the ceremony that allowed them to reflect, connect, and fully appreciate the significance of the day ahead.
A Celebration Filled With Color
While many waterfront weddings lean into soft neutrals, Liza and Jon embraced vibrant color at every opportunity.
Their guests happily joined in, arriving in colorful attire that perfectly complemented playful florals, cheerful linens, watercolor stationery, and thoughtfully layered tablescapes. The design felt elevated without ever feeling overly formal—sophisticated, but full of personality.
One of the most personal design elements appeared throughout the entire weekend. Working alongside a close friend, the couple created custom watercolor illustrations inspired by Montauk, incorporating beloved local landmarks into everything from their invitation suite to signage and menus.
The artwork even found its way onto custom matchbooks, a sentimental detail inspired by the collection Liza and Jon have built together throughout their relationship.
Every piece felt intentional.
Every detail felt like them.
Tradition Took Center Stage
As beautiful as the design was, it was the ceremony that left the deepest impression.
Officiated by Rabbi Hanniel Levinson, the ceremony beautifully honored Jewish traditions while telling Liza and Jon’s story in a way that felt deeply personal. Family memories were woven throughout, creating moments that invited every guest to feel connected to the significance of the day.
One of the afternoon’s most emotional moments came before Liza even reached the aisle.
Her Uncle Keith, whose piano playing has been part of family holidays and celebrations throughout her life, performed as she walked toward Jon. What had once been the soundtrack to childhood memories became the soundtrack to one of life’s most important moments.
Another unforgettable tradition came when both mothers wrapped the couple together in a custom tallit designed by one of Liza’s close friends, adding another meaningful layer to a ceremony filled with love, heritage, and intention.
And then came the Hora.
In an instant, the emotion gave way to celebration as the dance floor erupted with energy, laughter, and the unmistakable joy that would define the rest of the evening.
Classic Style With a Playful Spirit
Liza knew she had found her dress long before she ever stepped into a fitting room.
After spotting a Sareh Nouri gown online, she tried it on at Bergdorf Goodman and immediately fell in love. Its clean silhouette, lightweight fabric, dramatic train, and effortless movement felt perfectly suited for an outdoor celebration overlooking Lake Montauk.
Her accessories reflected the same philosophy as the wedding itself—timeless with unexpected touches of personality.
Classic Manolo Blahnik slingbacks adorned with vibrant red floral details peeked out beneath her gown, while a custom appliquéd floral veil added softness, romance, and beautiful movement throughout the day.
A Taste of Montauk
The menu celebrated everything the East End does best.
Fresh oysters and tuna highlighted cocktail hour before guests chose between beautifully prepared fish and short ribs for dinner. Signature Montauk Mules quickly became the cocktail everyone was ordering, combining tequila, cucumber, lime, and fresh herbs into a refreshing nod to the setting.
Dessert balanced nostalgia with fun.
A Funfetti cake from Montauk Bake Shoppe paid tribute to one of the couple’s favorite local bakeries, while late-night cannolis from Dolce & Gelato made their way onto the dance floor, delighting guests and honoring one of Jon’s favorite desserts.
The Photos They’ll Treasure Forever
Although every corner of the celebration offered beautiful backdrops, Liza and Jon continue to return to the photographs that were away from the excitement.
Those quiet moments together captured exactly what the day was about, not simply the celebration itself, but the beginning of their marriage.

When asked what they’ll remember most, neither Liza nor Jon immediately talks about the flowers, the food, or even the incredible views.
Instead, they remember seeing the people they love everywhere they turned.
