Maison BARNES in New York City launched a series of “Art de Vivre”-themed events to celebrate French culture and its emphasis on “the art of living” or enjoying life’s pleasures and experiences.
Catherine Pégard, Former President of Versailles Palace, shared stories of her success in modernizing the cultural offerings of the famous estate in conversation with Marie-Monique Steckel, President Emerita of FIAF, now L’Alliance New York.
The Upper East Side French restaurant, run by Chef Daniel Boulud, prepared a four-course dinner with French wine pairings.
Guests – including Sophy Burnham, Marcia Hogan and Kevin Hogan, Joel Kassimir, Stephanie Potter, Adrian Steckel, Beatrice Stern, Barbara Tober, and Princess Caroline Murat and Antoine Turzi – took home the book “Versailles In The Sky,” signed by Catherine, who wrote the foreword.
