The former Lobster Inn in Southampton will reopen Memorial Day Weekend under new ownership, with a new concept.
Manna at Lobster Inn will feature indoor and outdoor seating, a full bar and a lounge area, all with water views throughout the 198-seat restaurant. The concept comes from offshore aquaculturist Donna Lanzetta and Sag Harbor restaurateur Ryunosuke Jesse Matsuoka of Sen and K Pasa. The restaurant will feature sustainable seafood courtesy of Executive Chef Thomas Bogia. The restaurant’s design consultant is Alden Fenwick.
Appetizers on the seafood-focused menu will range in price from $9 to $16 — including double infused shrimp scampi and charred Cobb salad. Entrees will range in price from $24 to $32. Look for a lobster roll, sushi, skate, porgy, and other fin fish and mollusks.
The signature dish is trout carbonara, a version of a classic alfredo without pancetta but rather served with trout roe atop fluffy pasta — there’ll be surf n turf too. Desserts, such as the brownie waffle, will be made in-house.
The restaurant will continue to serve as a visual landmark for travelers as they reach the eastern end of Sunrise Highway. Manna at Lobster Inn will be open seven days in season for lunch, brunch, and dinner.
