Michael Schulman will discuss the lively history of the Academy Awards including brutal battles, behind-the-scenes drama, and starry rivalries at Canoe Place Inn & Cottages on Thursday, September 28, from 6:30 to 8 PM.
The conversation is part of Canoe Place’s Front Row series, where Schulman will be in conversation with Bob Morris, a frequent New York Times contributor and the author of “Assisted Loving,” “Bobby Wonderful” and “The Legs are the Last to Go” with Diahann Carroll.
The New Yorker’s Schulman will discuss his book “Oscar Wars: A History of Hollywood in Gold, Sweat, and Tears,” a star-studded history of revelatory tales that chronicles the sprawling history of the Academy Awards and the dramas that have played out on the stage as well as off camera.
