On Monday, November 10, a holiday shelter dog rescue departing from Knoxville, TN, transported animals from Friends All United for Natchitoches Animals, an all-volunteer animal rescue in Natchitoches Parish, LA. The adoptable animals headed to the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF) in hopes of finding loving homes in time for the holidays.
Pilots To The Rescue is a nonprofit organization that transports at-risk animals from under-resourced shelters to rescue and adoption centers, where they can be cared for, fostered, and placed with loving families. The mission is sponsored by Modern Aviation, a company that provides essential support services to aviation businesses and private flyers at airports nationwide.
“Millions of animals are euthanized every year simply because shelters run out of space,” said Michael Schneider, Founder and Executive Director of Pilots To The Rescue. “By transporting pets to available shelters by air, we put them in position to quickly find new homes and loving families. We fly to save lives.”
