“Boys Wanna Get With Me, Girls Wanna Get With Me,” a solo exhibition of new works on canvas by painting powerhouse Sandy Cohen, whose title is an ode to her late sister Fame, opens the summer 2025 season at Stella Flame Gallery.
Istanbul’s own Pinar Hakim will be in attendance for a personal appearance and a Pinar Hakim Jewellery trunk show beginning June 7, when the gallery will host a celebratory champagne reception in honor of the two artists from 5 to 7 PM. There will be music by DJ Chili, and a portion of the opening evening’s proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association. Sandy Cohen’s exhibition runs through June 15.
Cohen holds the distinction of being, at the age of eight, the youngest student enrolled in a college-level art program at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. She has been formally trained in paint, watercolor, mixed media, sculpting, and photography. Her work often references Disney and Tex Avery characters, telling a story with an underlying message that reflects current social conditions. She has shown at Art Basel, with the Oliver Cole Gallery and Soho Ink. Her work has been exhibited at the Museo de Arte y la Cultura de Santa Fe in Medellín, Colombia.

Pinar Hakim is an internationally acclaimed designer based in Istanbul whose fine jewelry collection references nature with a Boho chic, vintage vibe. Pinar was a well-known antique dealer in Istanbul before she started designing jewelry in 2010. Additionally, she is a globally recognized glass artisan who creates tabletops for the world’s leading design houses, including Christian Dior, House of Rothschild, Givenchy, and Louis Vuitton, among others. Her lampwork beads have earned her a spot in “The History Of Beads From 30,000 B.C. To The Present” by Lois Sherr Dubin, published by Thames & Hudson.
Stella Flame Gallery, named America’s Coolest Store 2024 by InStore Magazine, focuses on exhibitions and events showcasing artisanal fine jewelry collections created by globally renowned designers as well as Stella’s own award-winning collection. Home to the work of acclaimed photographers and contemporary, conceptual, and pop artists from around the world, the gallery is open year-round and located at 2385 Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton.
