“We loved transforming a summer coastal vibe into a cozy holiday space. The palette skews neutral with pops of color and textured accents. The mood is comfortable, festive, and functional.”

– Mabley Handler Interior Design

The Serena & Lily Holiday House, a series of installations across sixteen design houses and various regions that capture the spirit of the season, kicked off in the Hamptons at the brand’s Wainscott location.

Inspiration is broad from Palm Beach pastels and European influences to New England winters to Christmas on the California coast — resulting in an assortment of sunny sitting rooms, festive dining rooms, and welcoming guest rooms. For the Hamptons, the participating interior designer is Mabley Handler.

The Water Mill-based design firm is one of the sixteen firms across the country selected to design a room through their own holiday lens.

Mabley Handler’s theme accents a sitting room that embraces warmth and comfort with a neutral palette anchoring a mix of textures including stone, bone inlay, rattans, and metallic grasscloth. The intention was to diverge from the Hamptons’ typical coastal inspiration and instead create a space that feels both functional and festive.
