Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital will present a “Plaque of Appreciation” to Sheri Winter Parker of Corcoran Real Estate on December 19, honoring her support of the hospital over the years.
The ceremony will take place at 11 AM at the Corcoran office in Cutchogue on the North Fork of Long Island. Hospital leaders, including chief administrative officer Paul J. Connor, plan to attend to personally thank Winter Parker.
“Sheri joined the ELIH Foundation Board over two years ago, and we have been very fortunate to have her support,” Connor said in an interview Monday. “She not only brought business and marketing expertise to the Board but has also created a special fundraiser named ‘Shopping with Sheri’ which has brought in much-needed funds.”
The fundraiser and Winter Parker’s other philanthropic work have continued to benefit the hospital foundation, which supports the work of Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport.
For her part, Winter Parker said she was “honored” to be recognized. “They were an integral part of my life in the early days of Covid and they are the reason I am standing here now,” she said of the hospital. “Giving back is a passion of mine as it is the least I can do.”
