StacheStrong has launched its national #BrewStacheStrong beer collaboration in solidarity with over 175 craft breweries.
This campaign will raise vital funds and much needed awareness for brain cancer research. Participating #BrewStacheStrong breweries will raise money through sales of their limited-edition S.M.A.S.H. for STACHE, sold during national Brain Tumor Awareness Month throughout the month of May.
This S.M.A.S.H. (single malt and single hop) beer will be uniquely crafted by each participating brewery. No two beers will be the same and styles range from IPA, lager, pilsner, saison, and pale ale.
Included in those breweries are Long Island’s Ghost Brewery Company and Great South Bay Brewery in Bay Shore and Brooklyn’s Greenpoint Beer and Ale Co. and Daleview Brewery.
“Being in a position to not only provide hope for families and patients diagnosed with brain cancer, but also serve as a catalyst for change by collaborating with hundreds of breweries to raise significant funds and awareness for brain cancer research is something I’m truly passionate about,” said Colin Gerner, the president and co-founder of StacheStrong.
“My brother, inspiration, and co-founder, GJ, courageously battled Glioblastoma (GBM) for 25 months. As if fighting an incurable disease wasn’t enough of a task, he was also focused on helping others in the brain cancer community; that’s the epitome of how to #LiveStacheStrong,” noted Gerner on the StacheStrong website. A documentary telling GJ’s story is linked below.
The team has raised over $450,000 for brain cancer research.
