Stephen Talkhouse Birthday Bash To Benefit The Retreat

The Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett will combine its annual birthday party bash with a benefit for The Retreat on Sunday, August 13, starting at 6 PM. Tickets are $50 and all proceeds will go to The Retreat.

The evening will feature Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience, followed by multiple acts throughout the night by Klyph Black, Bosco, Mama Lee & Rose, Nancy Atlas, Inda Eaton, Joe Lauro, Andy Bond, Gene Casey, Winston Irie, Matt Dauch, Josh Brussell and Ect.

“We are thrilled to partner with The Talkhouse for a joyful night of music, while raising awareness of our organization and the work we do throughout Suffolk County,” said Loretta Davis, Executive Director of The Retreat. “Proceeds from this night will support The Retreat’s free services for survivors, including counseling, legal services, education and shelter.” The Retreat will host a 50-50 raffle and an in-person silent auction.

“This year marks the 36th anniversary for both The Talkhouse and The Retreat, and these two local institutions have a unique history together,” said Peter Honerkamp, owner of the historic music club. “The first benefit the Talkhouse ever held was for The Retreat in the late 1980s, and it featured a performance by Billy Joel! It’s great to be pairing up once again and supporting such an important cause.”

Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at stephentalkhouse.com.
