The Arts Center at Duck Creek in Springs presents two upcoming artist talks in September, offering audiences the opportunity to engage directly with exhibiting artists Bruce M. Sherman and Daisuke Kiyomiya. Both events are free and open to the public. These talks are presented in conjunction with current exhibitions at The Arts Center at Duck Creek, highlighting the Center’s role as a site for conversation, reflection, and engagement with contemporary art.
On Beauty: A Talk and Open Discussion with Artist Bruce M. Sherman will be held on Sunday, September 7, at 1 PM. Presented in conjunction with Sherman’s exhibition Bonsai and Spirit Rocks (on view in the Little Gallery through September 28), the program will explore philosophical, spiritual, and everyday dimensions of beauty.
Artist Talk: Daisuke Kiyomiya on Art, Practice, and Stone Carving will be held on Saturday, September 13, at 4 PM. In this program, Kiyomiya will discuss the evolution of his work and his approach to sculpture, which bridges contemporary art and centuries-old craft traditions.
