The Church Hosts Third Annual Holiday Makers Market With Pop-Up Print Exhibition

The Church in Sag Harbor’s Holiday Makers Market will be held over Thanksgiving Weekend on Saturday, November 25 and Sunday, November 26, from 11 AM to 5 PM. Local makers, artists, and designers will feature home goods, artisanal food, clothing, skincare, jewelry, and more. With 25 unique local merchants in the market, you’ll have no trouble finding special gifts for your loved ones.

At 1 PM on Saturday and Sunday, The Church invites guests to gather in The Church parking lot for a community sing-along, while inside will be transformed into a festive holiday market with beautiful decorations designed and donated by Harmonia Inc.

Vendors include Hamptons Handpoured, Hidden Gem, James Paul Cheung and Steve Miller, Jeremy Dennis, Utopia Bath Ltd, and many more

The Church presents a special new addition to the Holiday Makers Market. This year, a pop-up print exhibition will accompany the market, and feature the works of local artists who have participated in the monthly Monotype Printmaking workshops. Prints will range in price from $75 to $800 and will showcase some of The Church’s favorite works of the past year. Featured artists include Melinda Hackett, Laurie Hall, Patricia Lutkins, Paige Patterson, Mae Mougin, Kirsten Benfield, Tracy Dellomo, NJ Bradley, and more.

The monotype, defined as a one-of-a-kind impression, is created through the process of manipulating ink on a plate (often plexiglas) and running it through the press with archival paper. By applying smooth and consistent pressure to the plate, the image is transferred and absorbed into the fibers of the paper, resulting in a unique and often surprising print.
