Douglas Elliman broker, Mary Anne Fusco has been a champion of the classic coat drive (new or lightly-used outerwear) for almost a quarter of a century. Her annual coat drive has already begun for 2023 and will once again provide warmth to thousands. The last day for collection is March 31.
Coats are being collected in New York City, the Hamptons, and the North Fork, with the coats going to Heart of the Hamptons, where distribution will be made to the community.
With supporters that help to fund the boxes, provide drop off locations, and help with the printing of signage, Fusco has built an army to help the less fortunate. Currently her Bridgehampton office is deluged by donations and she could not be happier.
“I want to give a special thank you to Twin Forks Moving who donated the luxe boxes and wrapping paper into which people can donate their coats,” said Fusco. “We are so grateful to all of our support team.”
Fusco’s 2023 support team includes Dermot Dolan and Michael Amoia of Hamptons Risk Management, Francis Cuttita of Cuttita LLP, Charles Sferrazza of Botta Sferrazza Architects, and Peter Speranza of Cross Country Mortgage.
Drop-off sites for coats are in all three regions and Fusco’s team will arrange for pick up if you can’t make it by calling (917) 836-0391.
