Watermill Center’s STAND Benefit

The Watermill Center presented STAND, its 30th anniversary Summer Benefit on Saturday, July 30. Presented by Van Cleef and Arpels, the event highlighted art, theater, music, design, and fashion. It featured performances, installations, cocktails, and small bites from local Chef Colin Ambrose.

The Center presented public exhibitions by various artists at STAND, including Adam Parker Smith’s outdoor Sarcophagi sculpture series, on view through 2023. Japanese artist Tsubasa Kato presented his evolving participatory installation/action Pull and Raise. Eight cast bronze sculptures produced by artist Liz Glynn, based on Auguste Rodin’s structures from her project, The Myth of Singularity were on view.

Additionally, STAND opened public presentations by artists Elettra Bottazzi, Robson Catalunha, Deniz Celebic, Yeliz Celebic, NiNi Dongnier, Laurent Le Gall, Liz Glynn, Tsubasa Kato, Christopher Knowles, Taeyi Lim, Niccolo Masini, Hollie Miller, Robert Nava, Adam Parker Smith, Vilim Poljanec, Matthew Shipp, Xu Zhen, among others. Curated by Robert Wilson and Noah Khoshbin.

All proceeds from the benefit go toward the Watermill Center’s year-round programming.
