The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center will present a collection of films this summer as part of The Finest in World Cinema program. From June 7 to August 31, the WHBPAC will screen a curated group of first run, independent, and foreign films every Tuesday and Wednesday night.
The program will be hosted for the 16th year by Quogue resident Andrew Botsford. Botsford is a visiting professor and communications consultant at Stony Brook Southampton and a host of the Hamptons Doc Fest. He was the editor of the Arts & Living section of The Southampton Press for 20 years and has worked with the Hampton Theatre Company as an actor, director, and producer since 1985.
Botsford will introduce the Tuesday night films and moderate post-screening discussions with guest commentators and the audience.
The summer screenings will kick off with “Donbass” directed by Ukrainian filmmaker Seergei Loznitsa and conclude with “Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, a Journey, a Song” directed by Dan Geller and Dayna Goldfine.
