Making Space: AIA Peconic & SAC Unite To Honor Five Influential Women Architects For Women’s History Month

AIA Peconic and the Southampton Arts Center are joining forces for the second year to
celebrate Women’s History Month.

On March 21, at 6 PM, enjoy a screening of the documentary “Making Space:
Five Women Changing the Face of Architecture,” followed by a brief panel discussion
featuring local architects.

Odile Decq from Paris, France

A new generation of women is creating some of today’s most iconic architectural
designs. They are the rising stars, literally and figuratively changing the landscape. “Making Space” brings to the screen the personal journeys and outstanding designs of Annabelle Selldorf of New York, Farshid Moussavi of London, Odile Decq of Paris, Marianne McKenna of Toronto, and Kathryn Gustafson of Seattle, Washington DC, and London. The film reveals how these women succeed in a profession long dominated by men. Hear about what drives and challenges them, what choices they have made, and what the nature of their creative process is.

Tickets for SAC and AIA Peconic members are $15, and non-members are $20.
