Bay Street Theater Presents One-Night Summer Comedy Event With David Koechner

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts presents actor, comedian, writer, and producer David Koechner, who will bring an evening of live comedy to Bay Street Theater on Saturday, June 27, at 8 PM.

Best known to television audiences as Todd Packer on “The Office” and to film fans as Champ Kind in “Anchorman” and “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,” Koechner has become an instantly recognizable performer with more than 200 film and television credits.

An alumnus of Chicago’s famed Second City Theater, Koechner got his first break as a cast member on Saturday Night Live and has since built a wide-ranging career across film, television, voiceover, and live comedy. His television credits include A&E’s “America’s Top Dog,” ABC’s “The Goldbergs,” ABC’s “Bless This Mess,” CBS’s “Superior Donuts,” Showtime’s “Twin Peaks,” Comedy Central’s “Another Period,” and IFC’s “Stan Against Evil.” He also voices recurring characters on FOX’s “American Dad” and Netflix’s “F is for Family” and “The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants.”

Koechner’s film credits include “Then Came You,” “Braking for Whales,” “A Week Away,” “Vicious Fun,” “National Champions,” “Waiting,” “Out Cold,” “Talladega Nights,” “Get Smart,” “Extract,” “Thank You for Smoking,” “A Haunted House,” “Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse,” “Priceless,” “Legendary’s Krampus,” and the dark, twisted, film festival award-winning thriller “Cheap Thrills.”

“Bay Street Theater is proud to offer audiences a wide variety of entertainment year-round, from world premiere theater and live music to film, conversations, community events, and comedy,” said Tracy Mitchell, Executive Director of Bay Street Theater. “A big summer comedy night with David Koechner is exactly the kind of Bay Street experience we love to share. Audiences know him from some of the most memorable comedies in film and television, and in our intimate theater, they will have the chance to experience his work up close for one unforgettable night in Sag Harbor.”

When not filming, Koechner performs live comedy across the country and creates original content videos for his YouTube channel, Full On Koechner. He also co-hosts Big Slick Celebrity Weekend, an annual charity event benefitting Children’s Mercy Hospital of Kansas City, with fellow Kansas City natives Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, and Eric Stonestreet.
