Julia Levi is the innovative co-founder of Charlie Fox, a cannabis-focused boutique located in Southampton. Seamlessly integrating cannabis and hospitality, the boutique is designed to be a lifestyle destination rather than a conventional dispensary. The storefront combines cannabis and CBD products alongside a curated selection of books and home accessories, as well as an in-house apparel line. Julia is also a partner in the acclaimed restaurants Calissa in Water Mill and Amali in New York City, where she oversees experiential programming, partnerships, and the creative vision.
We caught up with Julia to learn more about her vision and the story behind Charlie Fox.

What inspired you to create Charlie Fox, and what gap did you see in the cannabis market?
We saw an opportunity in the market to blend the world of cannabis with hospitality and lifestyle in a way that felt more like an experience than a transaction.
We wanted to create a welcoming space where people feel comfortable exploring cannabis, asking questions, and discovering thoughtfully curated products.

Your boutique emphasizes hospitality and luxury, combining retail products with cannabis and CBD — how did the concept for this immersive experience come about?
From the beginning, education and guidance were central to the concept. Many people are curious about cannabis but don’t always know where to start. We focus on creating a very personalized shopping experience, where our team takes the time to understand what someone is looking for and guides them toward the right products. The design of the space reflects that as well. It’s warm, inviting, and meant to encourage exploration. That blend of cannabis and lifestyle is also reflected in our curation. We wanted Charlie Fox to be a place where people can discover interesting products and find unique house gifts — a modern alternative to bringing a bottle of wine to a dinner party.

What trends in cannabis or retail are you most excited about right now?
One of the most exciting shifts we’re seeing is toward more intentional consumption. People are becoming much more thoughtful about how cannabis fits into their lives — whether that’s for relaxation, creativity, sleep, working out, or connection. At the same time, the rise of microdosing allows for a more controlled social experience. It’s becoming less about potency and more about enhancing a moment or experience.

What has been the most rewarding moment since starting Charlie Fox?
Watching someone walk into Charlie Fox for the first time.
People often come in with a certain expectation of what a dispensary will feel like, and seeing their reaction when they realize it’s something entirely different is incredibly rewarding.
