KiDS NEED MoRE, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children, families, and young adults coping with cancer and life threatening illnesses, is hosting its sixth Annual HoLiDAY CHEER BUS Elf Ride, making stops across Long Island on Sunday, December 20.
The bus will be stocked with toy-delivering elves, who will drive to homes all over Long Island to make wishes come true for over 400 families coping with cancer and serious illness.
“We started this event knowing that all parents feel the pressure to make the season magical for their children, but when families are stressed with medical visits, painful treatments, and financial burdens, taking part in holiday festivities can be overwhelming,” said Melissa Firmes, the President of KiDS NEED MoRE.
“We wanted to make the experience not only wonderful for the children, but also as a gift to the entire family, and a way for everyone to enjoy the holiday together,” she continued.
