After its debut last summer, Namiro Sushi in Southampton Village will reopen its doors on May 8, ushering in its second season in Southampton.
Namiro’s successful first season was unexpectedly cut short following a fire in October that required a full reconstruction of the space.
“Thanks to the rapid response from the Southampton Village Police, Southampton Fire Department, and Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance, the building remained standing, allowing the team to fully rebuild and refine the restaurant over the winter,” read a statement from the restaurant.
“This past summer exceeded every expectation,” said owner Gary Spangler. “Coming back from something like this gave us the opportunity to refine everything — what we built for season one was just the beginning. This next chapter is about making Namiro a staple in the community.”
Now, after months of work, Namiro returns reimagined and will be open year-round. The reopening offers a refreshed design and an expanded menu.
