Nick & Toni’s in East Hampton has announced the return of #WineWednesday Workshops on February 25. Spearheaded by Honest Man Hospitality beverage director Christian Millwood, this collaboration with Wainscott Main Wine & Spirits is in its 12th year on the East End, offering certification-level seminars designed around themed tasting flights.
On February 25, there will be a session titled “The Seasonal Shift: Winter Wines to Spring Bottles” led by Adrian Chalk, General Manager and Owner of Adrian Chalk Selections. Following that, on March 4, John Rooney, Sales Representative at Frederick Wildman, will present “Inside Frederick Wildman: Portfolio Highlights & Hidden Gems.” On March 11, Kevin Tunney from David Bowler Wines will discuss “Portfolio Favorites: Wines We Can’t Keep in Stock.” Then, on March 18, Brendan Root from Peter Weygandt Selections will compare “Northern Rhône vs Southern Rhône: A Tale of Two Terroirs.” March 25 features Keith Nelson, Director of Sales at Banville Wine Merchants, sharing “Great Estates, Great Stories: The Banville Perspective.”
On April 1, Jorge Perez of Ripe Wine Imports will explore “West vs East Coast: Spain Edition.” April 8 will focus on “Tuscany & Piedmont: Power, Place & Tradition,” presented by Mayara Cardinal from Polaner Selections. The event on April 15 will delve into “Terroir & Tradition: Raventós i Blanc & Can Sumoi Vision,” with Pepe Raventos, Winemaker and Owner of both wineries. On April 22, Nick Duble, Director at Duclot La Vinicole USA, will discuss “From Vineyards to Glass: Duclot Portfolio POV.” Finally, on April 29, Christian Millwood, Beverage Director at Honest Man Hospitality, will introduce “Tequila 101: Introduction to Agave.”
Classes are open to all levels and held on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7 PM. Tickets are $40 per week in advance, and dining room space is limited. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the restaurant directly at 631-324-3550 after 2 PM, Wednesday through Monday. The ticket includes tasting sheets, crystal tasting stems, and small plates from Nick & Toni’s kitchen.
