Wreaths By The Sea At Gurney’s Montauk Benefits Share The Harvest Farm

On Sunday, December 7, Share the Harvest Farm hosted Wreaths by the Sea, a naturally inspired holiday workshop at Gurney’s Montauk. The festive event brought together community members for an afternoon of creativity, connection, and giving, with proceeds benefiting the farm’s mission to fight food insecurity across the East End of Long Island.

Guests created custom wreaths adorned with magnolia, citrus, berries, and other natural elements while enjoying ocean views, wine, and light seasonal bites. The workshop was led by May Zegarelli of Ocean Fog Farm, who guided participants through the design process using locally foraged materials. Chef Nick Reisini of Honest Plate prepared delicious farm-fresh bites made with produce straight from the farm, and Gurney’s Montauk generously hosted the event. Whitmores donated magnolia and greenery, and Fortunato Photography beautifully captured the day.

“Seeing our community come together to create something beautiful while directly supporting local food access is what this season is all about,” said Meredith Arm, Executive Director of Share the Harvest Farm. “Every ticket helps us keep nourishing our neighbors with fresh, healthy food.”

Even in winter, Share the Harvest Farm continues to harvest and donate fresh produce and nourishing soups each week to local food pantries, ensuring that healthy, local food reaches those who need it most. In 2025, the farm donated more than 60,000 pounds of produce to 10 partner organizations, helping to feed over 1,000 families each week.
