A Culinary Valentine’s Weekend At Rams Head Inn

Over Valentine’s Day weekend, Rams Head Inn on Shelter Island hosted an afternoon of recipes and samplings inspired by “Stirring the Pot,” the New York cookbook by Les Dames D’Escoffier, the international organization of women culinary leaders.

On the menu were cocktails with Meryl Rosofsky, oyster-shucking secrets from Kim Tetrault of Peeko Oysters, North Fork wines from Robin Epperson-McCarthy of Saltbird Cellars wines, caviar tasting with Chiara Carfi of Calvisius Caviar, and cooking demos with Silvia Baldini, featuring roasted garlic lobster and shrimp spaghetti and vegan chocolate mousse.
