Ring In 2024: New Year’s Dining On The East End

The 1770 House Restaurant & Inn in East Hampton presents a New Year’s Eve celebration menu by Executive Chef Michael Rozzi plus wine selections available by Wine Director Michael Cohen. From 5:30 to 10:30 PM on New Year’s Eve, Chef Rozzi presents a wide assortment of dishes in a three-course menu including appetizer, entrée and dessert at $125 per person (plus tax, gratuity and beverage). The 1770 House will be open on New Year’s Day serving Chef Rozzi’s $65 two-course menu upstairs and downstairs; along with an a la carte menu in the Tavern. New Year’s Day will also be the last chance for photos in the parlor with The 1770 House’s spectacularly decorated Christmas tree and holiday decorations.

Canoe Place Inn in Hampton Bays hosts a New Year’s Eve celebration including a five-course prix-fixe dinner, champagne, live music by the Ken Fowser Trio. Welcome 2024 in The Study with dancing and a celebratory countdown. The first seating from 5:30 to 7 PM is $135 per person and the second seating from 7:30 to 9:45 PM is $175 per person. Limited packages are also available for a 2-night stay.

Embark on a memorable New Year’s Eve celebration at Calissa in Water Mill, where a festive menu awaits diners on both Saturday, December 30, and Sunday, December 31. Indulge in an optional Prix Fixe dinner priced at $90 per person, with select items also available as enticing a la carte specials and an optional beverage package, offering standard spirits, sommelier-selected wines, beer, and Garden Spritz from 9 PM to midnight for $95 per person, available at the bar or at your table. The special New Years Eve menu promises a culinary journey with a Mezze Platter for the Table, appetizers like Grilled Oysters and Delicata Squash Salad, a choice of entrées featuring Lobster, Lamb Shank, Filet Mignon, Dover Sole, and Seared Sea Scallops, and a sweet finale with dessert options like Baklava and Vanilla Sabayon. Dinner is available from 5 until 11 PM, with the DJ kicking the party off at 10 PM and the bar open until 2 AM.

For an extra special wintery vibe, book the Calissa Chalet experience, between 5 and 7 PM, with the regular Chalet menu available, featuring plates like Spicy Kafteri Dip and Crispy Calamari, plus seasonal additions like Gruyere Fondue served with grilled bread cheddar and apples, Chocolate Fondue served with cream puffs and strawberries, and spiked holiday sips like the Hot Toddy, and Mulled Wine, or ask for bottle service with a $150 per person food and beverage minimum starting at 9 PM. Claude’s Restaurant at The Southampton Inn will have New Year’s Eve breakfast and brunch, held on Sunday, December 31, from 7 AM to 2 PM. New Year’s Day brunch, served on Monday, January 1, is held from 8 AM to 3 PM. Reservations are required.

New Years Eve at Baron’s Cove includes two seatings: 6 PM for $125 per person and 9 PM for $175 per person. The evening will feature live music, party favors and other festivities in addition to a spectacular view of the annual Sag Harbor fireworks, weather permitting. In addition, the hotel’s Map Room is available to rent for an exclusive, private VIP New Years Eve celebration for up to 25 guests and includes a private terrace to watch the fireworks.

Claudio’s Tavern and Grill

Claudio’s Tavern and Grill in Greenport will ring in 2024 with a festive dinner and entertainment on Sunday, December 31. The evening will feature a surf and turf dinner special for $79, a special holiday cocktail the “Merry Berry Espresso Cocktail” and a New Year’s Ball Drop Dessert. A house DJ will spin live music and the resident historian will offer Prohibition Walking Tours through Claudio’s historic speakeasy at 6 PM, 8 PM, and 10 PM highlighting all of the Prohibition era elements on site. Fresno in East Hampton is celebrating New Year’s Eve, December 31, with a la carte specials and a special oyster and sparkling rosé promotion. Enjoy six Montauk Pearl oysters on the half shell with mignonette with a half-bottle of the award winning Billecart-Salmon Rosé Brut for $110. Almond in Bridgehampton will serve a special locally sourced four-course prix fixe menu in celebration of New Year’s Eve on Sunday, December 31, beginning at 9 PM. Guests will receive party favors and a champagne toast will be offered. Cost for the evening is $150 per person, plus tax and gratuity. The a la carte menu will be offered earlier in the evening alongside holiday specials.

Nick & Toni’s in East Hampton will ring in 2024 with a special four-course chef’s tasting menu on December 31. The four-course menu is $135 per person, plus tax and gratuity. The evening will also feature hats, noise makers, balloons and all guests will receive a gift from the Nick & Toni’s pastry team. Reservations are recommended and can be made by visiting Resy or by calling the restaurant directly at 631-324-3550. Nick & Toni’s will also offer a special “At Home” a la carte menu for New Year’s Eve.
