The Bridge IX, presented by Mercedes-Maybach, returns for the ninth year to the storied grounds of the former Bridgehampton Race Circuit on Saturday, September 13, once again transforming the fairways of The Bridge golf club into a vivid landscape of design, heritage, and innovation. A celebration of automotive culture, the by-invitation event annually brings together more than 300 of the world’s most distinguished and rarely seen cars in an artful display across the greens.

Joining for the first year as presenting sponsor, Mercedes-Maybach will highlight a curated selection of vehicles that exemplify cutting-edge engineering and Timeless craftsmanship. On display will be the highly anticipated Mercedes-Maybach SL — the first open-top roadster in the brand’s history — alongside the GLS 600 SUV and the sophisticated S 680 Sedan. A curated lineup of classic Mercedes-Maybach vehicles will also be on view, offering a striking contrast that celebrates the evolution of design over time.

For those eager to experience the brand firsthand, Mercedes-Maybach will host exclusive test drives from Topping Rose House throughout the weekend, taking place on Friday, September 12, Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14.

Volvo joins The Bridge for the first time as a celebratory partner, marking a milestone 70 years in the United States. To commemorate this landmark anniversary, the automaker will present a showcase featuring models spanning both past and present. Guests can expect to see classic vehicles, including the iconic Volvo P1900 Convertible and the beloved Volvo Amazon, alongside the all-electric EX90 — Volvo’s 2025 World Luxury Car award winner. The celebration will also include a visual journey through time, with a collection of Volvo’s retro advertisements from the 1980s, reimagined through a modern lens to highlight the brand’s continued evolution.

Luminari Motor Company, Gunther Werks, FariCars, Expedition Motor Company, Roche Bobois, and Morgan Motor Company will all be in attendance, showcasing their latest offerings. Merrill, a Bank of America Company, returns with a refined on-site lounge. Pivotal’s Helix eVTOL aircraft will be on display, and Barton & Gray is set to present one of their restored 1969 Boston Whaler Eastport 17’s, a classic and beloved model in the Boston Whaler lineup. Arcade Cars will showcase one of its custom-built restoration vehicles.

What began as a tribute to Bridgehampton’s racing past has evolved into one of the most anticipated automotive gatherings of the season. This year’s exhibition will bring together over 300 of the world’s most compelling cars, spanning eras and genres, from the sculptural forms of Ferrari 275 GTBs and Mercedes-Benz 300 SLs, to contemporary visions from McLaren and Koenigsegg. American icons will also be present in strength, including historically significant muscle cars, some of which once raced on this very terrain. The Bridge continues its tradition of visual storytelling through color, with swaths of curated color sequences anchoring the field.

This year at The Bridge, a dynamic collaboration between the groundbreaking female-led motorsports team DART Car and the iconic BMW Art Car collection takes center stage with a special talk from their display at 4 PM. Featuring Julie Mehretu, BMW’s 20th Art Car artist; Mickalene Thomas, creator of the first DART Car; Zo. Barry, DART co-founder and race car driver; Thomas Girst, Global Head of BMW Group Cultural Engagement; and moderated by DART co-founder and art advisor Spring McManus, the conversation explores the innovative fusion of contemporary art and motorsports. This event highlights the legacy and future of the BMW Art Car series, celebrating its 50th anniversary alongside BMW’s longstanding presence in the U.S., while spotlighting DART’s mission to push boundaries in racing and art through female leadership and creative expression. Attendees will experience the dynamic intersection where performance meets artistry, from Mehretu’s East Coast debut of BMW Art Car No. 20 to DART’s pioneering spirit redefining motorsports culture.

The Bridge weekend continues Sunday, September 14, with The Bridge at Topping Rose House, a ticketed garden gathering limited to 500 guests. Presented by Chopard, the event pairs classic automobiles with seasonal cuisine from acclaimed Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten set against the lush backdrop of the hotel’s grounds. As presenting sponsor, Chopard will showcase a curated selection of timepieces and jewelry, including two standout Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph models inspired by vintage racing. With over 38 years as the official timekeeper of Italy’s iconic 1000 Miglia, Chopard’s deep ties to classic car culture make it a natural fit for the occasion. Mercedes-Maybach joins the event as a celebratory sponsor, bringing its signature blend of heritage, innovation, and refinement to this distinguished automobile and lifestyle experience. Limited tickets are available for purchase at $275 per person through The Bridge website, with proceeds benefiting the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons.

The Bridge is a collaboration between Robert Rubin, who has owned the Bridgehampton Race Circuit since 1981 and founded The Bridge golf club in 2002, and the event’s organizers, Shamin Abas, President of Shamin Abas Communications & Experiential Marketing for the World’s Finest Brands, and Jeffrey Einhorn, a Manhattan-based attorney and longtime car collector.

“We created The Bridge to celebrate more than just machines. It’s a weekend of ideas, stories, and craftsmanship,” said Rubin. “Now in our ninth year, it’s deeply rewarding to see the spirit of the event continue to evolve while remaining grounded in its original intent.”
