Celebrate Southampton Village: Shop Local Saturday & Stay For The Parade Of Lights

The Village of Southampton invites residents and visitors to celebrate the start of the holiday season with Shop Local Saturday on November 29, followed by the Village’s beloved Parade of Lights, Tree Lighting Ceremony, and Fireworks Celebration at dusk, presented by The Christmas Decorations Committee and the Southampton Chamber of Commerce.

This festive annual tradition encourages everyone to shop and dine local and support the small businesses and restaurants that are the heart of Southampton Village. From charming boutiques and art galleries to cozy cafes and restaurants, every purchase made locally helps strengthen the community and sustain the unique character that defines the Village.

“Shopping locally makes a real difference,” said Trustee Roy Stevenson, a local business owner.  “Every dollar spent in our local stores helps support jobs, services, and the small-town spirit that makes Southampton Village so special. We invite everyone to spend the day in the Village — shop, dine, and then stay to enjoy the Parade of Lights and the holiday festivities with family and friends.”

Parade of Lights will begin at dusk, around 4:30 PM, with the tree lighting ceremony in Agawam Park at 5:30, followed by the fireworks display.
